You play sports (e.g. football) for a local team. You recently heard that a player in your team is in a hospital.
Write a letter to your team-mate. In your letter
• Say how you feel about the news
• Ask about the treatment in the hospital
• Suggest some ways of cheering him/her up.
Dear Hung,
It’s your teammate, Truong. I’ve heard that you got an injury in the soccer match that I missed last week and now you’re in hospital for treatment. I’m sincerely sorry for your accident and thus, I’m writing this letter to let you know that I’m willing to support if you’re in need of anything.
Other teammates have told me that your injury was very severe and required to go through a surgery. I know it is unpleasant but if you can, please tell me what sort of treatments that you are receiving and also the cost. The team and I are willing to share the hospital bill with you since we know that your family is having some financial problems at the moment. Also, we are coming to visit you next week and we will bring a big surprise to you. For now, be optimistic!
I hope that you’ll be getting better soon.
Your friend,
Truong
