In this set of materials the reading passage discusses the remained parts of Sinosauropteryx in the volcanic ash not related to feathers strucgture. While, the professor casts doubt on what is presented in the extet and believes that the evideces for verifying that this structurs are related to the feathers are very strong and the raesons that mentioned in the text is not convincing.
First of all, thhe fine lines cannot represent of a living dinosaur and animals in the buried volcanic ash cannot preseve. However, the professor claims that it ios unlikely to this structurs are result of decomposition because another animals that buried in the same sites are conserve in the well condition. and in this animals the feathers preseve very well so it is complltely possible that this struyctur related to the feathers.
In addition, the professor disagree with this idea that this structurs are thhis mterials remainds pf frills not feathers. She says trhat the chemical chrecterstic of feathers is quite different with chemical chrectestic of fills. Amnd in the feathers cotain Beta-caltin that clrearly shows that this structur aare related to the feathers not fills.
Finnaly, in the text stated that this posiction of presence of this feather like structurs realevent that this structure are not related to the feathers, The professor subscribe that the position of this structure shows that this feathers had a application for attract to mating and had function of dispalying.
