In this set of materials the reading passages discusses that several evidence that shows a possibility shaps of how Agnostid animals lived in the past. While in the listening the professor casts doubts on what is presented in the text and believes that the evidence and also the reasons that explaine to support this described ideas is serously weakness.
First odf all, in the text it is clearly mentioned that the Agnostid were pradators and feeding from small merin animals that this animals were very plentiful at this time. However, the professor claims that this kind of praying need a large and well developted eyes, but we know that Agnostid was completely blond. On the other hand, we know that the Agnostid was not any other sensitive organs to can handel this kink of hunting.
In addition, the professor disagrees with this idea that the Agnostid settelled on the seafloor and feeding from bacterias. She says thatthis asomption is true about other types of arthropods that was not ability of fast moving. But, the Agnostid lived in different areas and moving very fast from one region to another.
Finally, in the text it is stated that this animals may be were parasites. the professor subscribes that the population of Agnostid were not very lorge. But should be the number of thousents paresates present in a host to can kill it. thus limited population of Agnostid shows that their populations were not big enough to support this concept.
