The provided bar chart is the representation of time spent on telephone calls in the United Kingdom in a period of 7 years from 1995 till 2002.At a quick glance, it is observed that local fixed line was the most used type of calling throughout the period.
Looking at the details, in 1995, most of the people prefered to talk by local fixed line on which they spent 70 billion minutes.Less than 40 million minutes were spent in national and international fixed line.Whereas, call duration by the mobiles was least preferable choice among the people inwhich only 4 million minutes were used in talk in that same year.
With the passage of time, the duration of calls in local fixed line increased dramatically from 1995 to 1998 and then remained stable for one year. After that, it decreased with the same speed and reached to 55 million minutes till 2000.There was a noticeable increase in the duration of calls in National and international fixed line and it showed an increase of 20 billion minutes throughout the period. However, the calling time in mobiles remained almost similar until 1998 but after that it witnessed a considerable incline and reached upto 50 million minutes at the end of 2002.
Overall, at the end of period, more people prefered to talk by mobiles as they were used to bein the initial years.
