The diagrams below show how glass containers , such as bottles , are produced and recycled.
The first flow diagram depicts the information about how glass containers are produced while , the second diagram shows the recycling of used glass. It is clear and cohrent representation.
It can be seen that the first step in the glass production is mixing , in which sand , soda ash , limestone and other chemicals are mixed together. After , the mixture is stored in the glass furnace at higher temperature ( 1500°C) and this process is known as melting. Afterthat , shaping is the process in which molten glass is shaped by blowing. Finally , products are produced ; namely glass conatiners.
The collection of used glass is the first step of glass recycling. Then , the collected glass is sorted by according to its colour. For removing the impurties from the used glass , it has been washed. At the fourth stage of recycling , the glass is crushed and melted , and in the final stage it is moulded into new products
