The provided pie charts represent the amount of energy generated by different sources in a particular nation in the period of 18 years from 1985 till 2003.
As can be observed, in 1985, oil was the major source of energy which generated nearly half of the total quantity of energy. Nuclear sources were the second common sources of energy with the production of just over one-fifth of total energy. Energy provided by natural gas, coal and hydrogen was contributed nearly a quarter of total proportion while the other renewable sources provided merely 1% which was the least production of energy.
As the time passed, in 2003, there was a noticeable decrease in the production of nuclear energy which fell down upto 17% whereas the energy production from hydrogen remained similar till 2003. At the end of 2003, there was a significant decline in the energy generation from oil and the proportion reached down upto two-fifths. While, the energy provided by the natural gas, coal, hydrogen and other renewable sources witnessed incline over the given period.
Overall, there was a dramatic reduction in the production of oil whereas other remained resources grew substantially at the end of given period.
