The diagrams below show the design for a wind turbine and its location.
Summaries the information by selecting and reporting the man features, and make comparisons where relevant
The below diagrams illustrate the schematic of a wind turbine machine which generate the electricity from wind kinetic energy. Also, as it can be seen, these diagrams provide some information about the suitable places that this kind of turbines can be installed.
A three-blade wind turbine is a machine included a steel tower, a generator, some sensors to determine the speed and direction of wind. The blades are manufactured of fiberglass or wood. When wind below through the propeller, the kinetic energy of wind cause to turning motion of rotor and generating some mechanical energy which can be used for some purpose such as pumping water. But this mechanical energy of rotor can be transformed to electricity by a generator with 1.5 megawatts output. Since the speed and contact angle of wind to surface of blades are the most important key factor, they should be controlled by a monitoring system involves a computer that evaluated by an engineering team.
Where this machine is installed is a major concern. On one hand, the result of research have been indicated that installation of wind turbine at highland where the power of wind is the maximum, will result in much more output and the efficiency of turbine will increase. But it will cause to spoil the countryside. On the other hand, in order to avoid the destruction of nature and countryside, they can be built offshore. But it has a disadvantage which is less output. A domestic turbine which built on land but in middle high from see level, generate 100 kilowatts. So, in comparison with this, it seems that the best location for the wind turbine can be chosen according to the amount of needed electricity in each region.
To summarize the presented information by below diagrams, wind turbine is a machine which can generate renewable energy by converting the kinetic energy of wind to electricity. These turbine can be built on land or offshore and output of them will be different according to advantage and disadvantage of installation.
