You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour.
Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter
introduce yourself
describe your plans for the party
invite your neighbour to come
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear ................. ,
You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Mr. Robertson,
I request your gracious presence on the occasion of our housewarming ceremony, held this Sunday evening. We invite you to be a part of our celebration.
I have recently moved to the house, on the right side of your bungalow. We share a common fence and our children attend the same school. My wife and I wanted to drop the invitation personally, but our schedules are extremely packed.
We are planning on inviting a few new friends and neighbors from our vicinity. This would make for a perfect evening for some music and dance. The chances of the party getting noisy and loud are minor, but I hope to have your cooperation.
It is my pleasure to invite your family to our humble aboard for a few drinks and snacks. Do bring your son Andy along, I have arranged for a few board games to keep the children engaged.
I believe it will be a rocking party and I hope you will not mind the volume of the speakers. I am excited to meet your entire family and look forward to your company.
Yours sincerely,
Kathleen
