You are studying for a qualification, and you would like some time off work to complete it.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
Ask for some time off to complete a qualification.
Suggest what you will do later at work if you have time off.
Say how the qualification helps your job or company.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to request you to grant me a leave for a duration of a month, commencing March 2019. I need this leave for the completion of the doctorate course.
I require some time off work, to pursue a higher qualification a Ph.D. degree. Demanding long hours at work, leave me extremely exhausted, to continue to finish my thesis. Moreover, I need undivided attention to proceed further with research topics and focus on my thesis submission.
On my return, I propose to initiate a new marketing plan. A detailed schedule of launching a website as per our company standards has been designed and should be operational by the end of May. Furthermore, I assure you efficient management of my team even in my absences and I shall be available over the phone and email at all times.
I look forward to applying my expertise to share knowledge with my colleagues and subordinates. Additionally, I would like to conduct a seminar based on my project- ‘Business models and Management Skills’. On being conferred with the title of a ‘Doctor’ before my name, I shall not only feel accomplished but also strive to bring pride to my organization.
Hoping for a quick and favorable response.
Yours sincerely,
Kathy Kate.
