The chart below shows the process of waste paper recycling.
The diagram illustrates the process of recycling waste paper. Overall, the production consists of 6 main steps, starting with the collection of used paper from society and finishing with the manufacturing of the papermaking machine.
In the first step of the process, used paper is collected from different sources like public paper banks, places that people leave their used paper, or directly from businesses and gathered together. In the following base, the paper is sorted by hand into two separate categories namely suitable paper and unsuitable paper, then the suitable one is transported to the paper mill. The remaining unsuitable paper is then eliminated.
At the paper mill, the graded paper is cleaned carefully before going through the pulping step. Moreover, foreign materials like staples are also removed. The fourth step includes the de-inking process which ink and glues on paper are taken away, then the final stage shows that cleaned paper is delivered to a machine to produce usable paper for public uses.
