The line graph illustrates the number of people who visited to UK and from UK to other nations since 1979 to 1999.There is also a bar graph demonstrating the most and least visited country in 1999 by British people.
Overall, it is clear from the graph that, since the beginning of the mentioned time period large number of the UK residents travelled abroad as compared to visitors travelling to the UK. In the year 1999, France and Spain were more visited by Britisher’s as compared to USA and Greece. Turkey was the least visited nation.
On the one hand, it is clearly seen that around 12 million British citizens visited abroad in 1979 which later increased to 20 million. A dramatic rise in visits to abroad by UK people is seen in 1999 reaching approximately 52 million in gap of eighteen years from 1984. In the year 1979,10 million people visited the UK, slowly increased to about 29 million by the year 1999. It took a span of 20 years to observe this change.
On the other hand, the bar chart shows the most popular destination visited by the UK population being France and Spain counting at 12 million and approximately 9 million respectively. Territories like USA, Greece and Turkey has less than 5 million UK residents visiting them.
