you live in a room in college where you share with another student. You find it very difficult to work there because your roommate always has friends visiting.He/She has parties in room and sometimes borrows your things without asking you.
Write a letter to accommodation officer at the college and ask for new room next term. you would prefer a single room. explain your reasons
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to request a new room next semester due to some difficulties that I have encountered with my current roommate.
First of all, there were countless occasions that it was impossible for me to concentrate on my study and have a peaceful evening. this is because Jenn, my roommate, tended to invite her friends over and throw parties without informing me in advance. it happened so frequently that people would find me in the library all the time instead of my room. Besides, it seems that my privacy has been invaded when my stuff in the rooms have been used and misplaced without my permission. For example, my camera went missing for a period of time when Jenn was coincidentally overseas. And as soon as she was back, she admitted that she brought along my camera for the trip without telling me a word.
after all what happened, I would like to request a new room next term since it is unbearable to endure this inconvenience any longer. it would be much appreciated if a single room is available, and hence such incidents may not occur in the future. this would enable me to relax properly after school and deliver better results when I can focus on my study in a quiet room.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Diamond Nguyen
