Write a letter to the local planning committee. A new swimming pool is about to be built in your town, the local planning committee wants all residents to let them know where to place the pool - in the centre of town or just outside the town. Write a letter describing the importance of the pool, the location you prefer and why, explain why the other location isn’t suitable.
Dear sir,
I am Harry, a local resident of Warwick town. Through a local newspaper article, I got to know about the swimming pool to be built in our town. First of all, on behalf of all the residents, I am thankful to you for asking our opinion for the location of pool. I am writing this letter to give my opinion about the same.
swimming pool was the most required and lacked facility of our town, which you are going to fulfill soon. Summer vacations are approaching and we are glad that this summer our kids will have their own swimming pool, unlike previously they had to visit their friend's or relative's house to practice swimming. This swimming pool will be of great importance, as we can practice swimming there and spend our spare time doing something adventurous.
As per my opinion, it should be built in the middle of town because it will be easily reachable hence more utilized. Mothers or grand parents could easily drop their kids for swimming class otherwise they have to be dependent on fathers to drive them there. Also if the swimming pool is in the center of town it will bring more income to the town as compared to outside town. On the other side, if swimming pool is built outside town it will not be of much benefit to us. As it will be tough for kids to commute there daily. It will also not add to the economic income of our state.
I hope you will consider my suggestion seriously and choose center of town as final location for swimming pool.
your sincerely
Harry
