You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear Sir,
my name is jane and I live in room no 9C B wing hostel. I am writing you this letter to ask you to please change my accommodation since it's very difficult to adjust with my current roommate.
Let me explain to you the problems, most of my lectures are in the morning because of which I try to sleep early mostly around 10.00 pm. Unlike my earlier roommate who was friendly and understanding, the current roommate plays loud music almost until dawn and has friends come over some days. They stay up all night making it impossible for me to sleep. Due to lack of sleep, my studies and project work are affected and I cannot concentrate during my lectures. I have requested him numerous times but he does not consider and always argues which creates a very unpleasant situation.
May I request you to please change my room with another student who is quiet and more systematic, I would prefer someone who takes studies more seriously.
I hope to receive a positive response from you soon.
Your's Sincerely,
jane doe.
