You have organized to go on holiday with your friend. However, you must change your plans.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
1. Tell them how much you are looking forward to the holiday.
2. Explain why you must change your plans.
3. Suggest alternative arrangements.
Dear Mark,
hope you are doing well. I am writing to inform you about a sudden change in my plans in regards to the upcoming holiday. Allow me to explain the situation.
To elucidate I was looking forward to our adventurous trip to Jim Corbett Park in the Himalayas. As you are aware that we had been planning this trip for the past 3 months to rejuvenate ourselves from the hectic work schedule and explore the natural beauty of the Himalayan range however there is a change in the plan. The major reason for the change is due to an upcoming technical seminar in Japan for which I need to travel for a week. Although I tried to reschedule my travel however the company management requested me to travel as I have detailed knowledge of the products, therefore, would be able to present the technical aspects of the products in a much confident manner.
Lastly, I would like to tell you that there is no need to get disheartened as I have already checked with our travel agent and requested him to reschedule our holiday in the month of June. I hope this re-arrangement will be acceptable. looking forward to your response.
Warm wishes
Saad
