Dear Karen,
How are you? I am writing to inform you that I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday at your place. Even though we caught up after almost a decade, our fondness for each other still remains intact. Moreover, I was very excited to meet you, yet emotional because of the significantly long gap.
Let me list down some of the activities that I enjoyed. Firstly, the early morning trek, which although was very tiring, witnessing the picturesque view and breathtaking landscape made it worthwhile. It reminded me of the time when we were young and would undertake adventures together. Secondly, the quality time we spent together preparing lunch and dinner. Do you remember we first meet in culinary school and hence, cooking is an integral part of our friendship! Reminiscing the past, indulging in our favorite activity was the highlight of my trip.
Finally, I would like to host to you and your family at my home during the Christmas holidays. Please consider this as an invitation to spend some time with me and reciprocate the gratitude.
I look forward to your reply and keep in touch.
Your friend,
Mary
