This line graph illustrates data from 1974-2002 in UK about the transportation of the material by using the following factors such as road, water, rail, and pipeline.
The most striking feature of this graph is extensive growth shown by the factors. A road transportation is the most useful way of transportation. In early, 1974 it was stared from 70 million tonnes and till 1994 with certain ups and downs reached at 79 mark after that steel raising registered and in 2002 it was ended at 98 which was zenith among all factors.
The rail and the water almost started from 40 million tonnes mark but after 1978 gowth was vice versa till 1985. From 1978 rail has downfall whereas, water registered gain . 1998 to 2002 both of them constantly increasing, In 2002 rail ended at just above 40, while, water crossed 60 million tonnes mark.
Pipeline transportation show cumulative growth, where it was started from 5 mark in 1974 and in 2002 it was reached at just above 20 million figure.
Overall, all factors registered raised in 2002 their values as compared to 1974 .
