the graph below shows UK acid rain emissions, measured in millions of tones, from four different sectors between 1990 and 2007.
A glance at the provided graph reveals information about the acid rain emitted by four sectors in UK from 1990 to 2007.
It is obvious that acid rain emissions from these fields decreased from the begin to the end of period shown except the figure for other industries which followed a volatile pattern. Moreover, the amount of acid rain from domestic field was always kept at the minimum level out of four sectors.
In 1990, the acid rain emitted from electrical, gas and water suppliers ranked first, at over 3 million tones following by vehicle, domestic and other industries with over 2 million, 0.7 million and 0.6 million, respectively. From 1990 to 1999, the data for electricity, gas and water supply decreased suddenly to exactly 1 million which is dwarfed by the one of transport and communication sector with nearly 1.5 million. Meanwhile, the figure for other industries remained at the same level.
At the end of period, the figures for electrical, gas and water suppliers, vehicle and domestic sectors also reached their peaks at 1.25, 0.5 and 0.2 million, respectively. However, the amount of acid rain emitted from other countries still remained at the same level after reaching its peak at exactly 1 million tones in 2005
