Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to an English speaking friend. In your letter:
• thank them for the photos and for the holiday
• explain why you didn't write earlier
• invite them to come and stay with you
Dear Sara,
Hope you are doing well. It was such a sheer enjoyment last week, spending some lovely days with you in your spectacular village. I have just received photos you have sent and I writing to express my gratitude for all your kindness.
I would like to tell you how cheerful I felt when I received these amazing photos, which bring me lots of unforgettable memories. In most of them, we are laughing and I love them more since they captured those cheerful moments. I think taking photo is the best way to record moments. Besides, the quality of photos is great and I decided to print some of them.
As you know, I was so much busy with my work which was predictable after that long holiday. There were lots of essential tasks that I was forced to do, preparing some reports for our upcoming presentation and some boring meetings. So, I really was not able to make time to write you.I hope you accept my apologies.
I would like to invite you to come over my place for the new year holiday, since, as you know, here people used to celebrate this occasion very interesting. There would be some exciting fireworks, dance performances and free concerts. I am sure you will enjoy.
Once again I really appreciate your hostility. I am looking forward to hear from you.
Best regards,
Yalda Asgari.
