The table compares charitable institutions in different countries in terms of their financial assistance in order to provide technology to developing countries over the period of 4 years
Overall, there was an upward trend in the amount of money given in technological aid of all countries during the period shown. The vast majority of financial support for technology to developing countries was from the US charities
Looking more closely at the chart, in 2006, the US charities supported about 9,7 billion USD for technology to developing countries, which was nearly 3 times as much as that of EU countries. While the figure for other countries was slightly lower, at approximately 2.7 billion dollars. The amount of money given technological aid to developing countries by charitable organizations in the US increased significantly to around 13.5 billion USD compared to merely 3.8 billion dollars that of EU countries in 2008
From 2009 to 2010, a substantial rise was seen in financial assistance by the US charities for technology to developing countries and this figure reached a peak at roughly 22.7 billion dollar. By contrast, the figures for EU and other countries climbed slowly, at just 4 and 3.3 billion USD respectively
