Your friend has asked you to teach English to her or his child. You would like to borrow some books from your teacher to help you teach English to the child.
Write a letter to your teacher. In your letter:
• Tell your teacher what and when you are going to teach the child
• Describe the kind of books you would like to borrow
• Explain why you think these books will be useful
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to include addresses.
Begin your letter as follows: Dear ....................,
Dear Dolly Ma'am,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to ask a favor of borrowing few English teaching books from you. One of my friend's son wants to learn the language who has very basic knowledge and know-how. I am planning to take a written test to assess the areas of concern and efforts required before I begin. I want to begin teaching on weekends before summer vacation starts and finish by the end of it.
I would like to borrow beginners to intermediate level books. This way I can refresh the basics and begin with the intermediate one's. Also, the one's with the practice test would be great as that would help in practicing on regular basis.
Since you have been teaching English all your life and have been upgrading the books time to time to keep all the students abreast with the changes, borrowing books from you would not let me down in front of my friend who has trusted me with this big task.
Please let me know a suitable time next week when I can come to pick those books from your place. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely
Kapil Sharma
