The table below provides statistics on major metro systems around the world
The table below represents data regarding MRT systems of some specific cities from all over the world. In general, London’s metro dominates in the total length aspect and Tokyo’s metro stands first in the carrying capacity per year, whilst Kyoto’s is the lowest in both aspects.
London metro systems were completed in 1863. In contrast to this, metro systems in Los Angeles were most recently completed in 2001. It seems that in the sum of length, London is at a peak with 1100 km while Paris comes at second with 594, nearly half of London metro systems (and both are completed in… and… respectively) . The total length seems to be contradicted with the year completion when Kyoto’s is 11 km and Los Angeles systems is 14 km which was higher than Kyoto’s just 3 km and both are finished later than London’s more than 100 years.
In the carrying capacity per year factor, it seems that Tokyo metro systems stand on top and following by Paris’, which is lower than the first almost 600 millions. Tokyo’s, London’s and Paris’s are way higher than the left three. London systems, which capacity is 548 millions, is approximately five times higher than Los Angeles systems, which was just 90 millions. Kyoto metro systems are lower than Tokyo metro systems over 1400 millions which stand at the number 11 of both factors.
