The charts below show the distribution of the world's water and the use of water in three countries.
The given charts detail the information on water distribution at the world level. The pie charts describe the proportion of freshwater globally along with its distribution from different channels. The bar chart represents proportional usage of water in Egypt, Canada, and Saudi Arabia for agriculture, domestic, and industrial purposes respectively.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the freshwater, which constitutes the least of the total water on the mother earth, is used for agriculture at the highest rate in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, while Canada's main sector is Industry.
According to the given illustration, only 3% of the world's water is freshwater. Although ground, surface, and glaciers act as main resources of the freshwater, about 79% of the total is directed from ice and glaciers only.
On the other hand, in terms of usage of freshwater, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia show a similar trend. The largest proportion( 80%, 75%) is invested in agriculture as against only 12% in domestic and below 10% in the industry for the respective countries. However, a reverse trend can be witnessed in Canada, where the industrial sector absorbs the maximum share (80% of total water), while 12% in domestic and least portion of 8% in the agriculture sector.
