A quick glance at the two pie charts reveals energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions produced by an average Australian household. Overall, the energy was mainly used for heating whereas emissions came from water heating.
Regarding the first pie chart, heating made up the largest population in energy use (42%), followed by water heating (30%). Other appliances consisted of 15% and refrigeration accounted for 7% of energy consumption. An insignificant percentage of household power was used for lightning. Only 2& of energy was consumed for colling.
Regarding the second chart, despite the largest consumption of heating, this activity only produced 15% of greenhouse gas emissions. On the contrary, water heating was to blame for the greatest amount of gas release (32%). Other appliances made of 28% in this discharge. Even though refrigeration and lightning consisted up a slight proportion of energy use, the percentage of gas they produced doubled that of energy consumption, 14% and 8% respectively. Lastly, colling made up a minor percentage, 32%.
In conclusion, an average Australian household used energy for different purposes with the main use of heating and gas emissions was produced by water heating.
