Wood pellets manufactured by this process are suitable for use in both pellet stoves
and pellet furnaces.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make
comparisons where relevant.
The provided flow chart illustrates the process of how to manufacture the wooden pellets which are used as suitable fuel in pellet stoves and furnaces.
It is conspicuous form the flow chart that the manufacturing process for wood pellets constitutes seven number of steps in total.
The process begins with the arrival of raw material, which is Sawdust from sawmill. The next step is to hammering down this sawdust, this hammering process convert sawdust into fibers of similar length. This whole step is carried out in a machine known as hammer mill. Moving on to the next step, these fibers are then dampened with steam, for some time.
Further, a pellet machine is used which forces these dampened fibers through tiny holes. This forcing through holes process converts fibers into pellets. This forcing process heats up the newly formed pellets. So, the next step is to cool them down. Further, a loose dust is vacuumed off, over these cooled pellets. Now the pellets are manufactured and ready to be packed. These are now packed into packs of 18 kilos (40 pounds), for sale purposes.
