The map below is of the town of Canterbury. A new school (S) is planned for the area. The map shows two possible sites for the school.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given map details two expected locations for building a new school in the town of Canterbury.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that while one of the locations lies in the middle of the map, the other is proposed to be in the countryside area.
According to the given illustration, to begin with, the first possible site is going to be in the heart of the town center, which is a traffic-free zone. Also, this site is surrounded by the residential area, and further by the countryside, with a university to its Northern end. Further, whilst this school location is accessible to a town Chartham via main road connectivity( 7 km away to the Southwest direction with a population size of 4500), Sturry, at 5km away from the town center to the Northeast side with a population of 7000, is also approachable using the main road.
Turning to the other proposal, which is envisaged in the Northeast direction of the countryside, will be more closer to Sturry. By contrast, the same location will be much further away from the town of Chartham. However, being no traffic zone, no connectivity is available from the town center to the second site.
