The pie chart compare household expenditures of two country UK and New Zealand, by five category in the 1980 and 2008 years.
It is noticeable that household budget spent on food and drink had fallen in both countries from 1980 to 2008, by contrast, spending on utility bills was increased.
In 1980, 23% of UK and 29% of New Zealand household budgets went on food and drink decreased to 13% and 25% respectively in both countries by 2008, whereas household spending on utility Bill in both countries rose, in the UK from 26% to 28% and in New Zealand from 27% to 31% in the 28 year period.
In 1980 and 2008, the highest proportion of UK’s household budgets spent on leisure time in each year, while in New Zealand it was third highest household spending. Also in this period UK household expenditure on leisure had increased from 27% to 34% whereas New Zealanders spending decreased from 18% to 17% . Household costs for transport saw a small decrease from 15% to 14% in UK and from 17% to 16% in New Zealand. Household spending on other things changed from 9% to 11% in both country in that shown period.
