Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The chart below highlights the total amount of male and female graduates of higher education in Canada from the year 1992 to 2007. The overall count reveals that a higher number of females have graduated compared to their male counterparts.

In 1992, a figure of 100,000 female students graduated, which was a sharp contrast from the lower number of 70,000 males that graduated in the same year.

In addition, towards the end of the decade, there was a slight drop in the frequency of graduation in both genders. But from 2002 to 2006, there was a steady rise in the rate of graduation in male and females, topping off at about 150,000 and 95,000 female and male graduates respectively.

In conclusion, the complete 8 year timeframe shows an overall increase in the number of female graduates by about 50,000 and male graduates by about 25,000, indicating an overall difference in male and female graduation rates.
