The chart compares the amount of coffee produced worldwide by the top four nations namely Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Colombia between 2011 and 2013.
Overall, the volume of coffee output in Brazil was always the highest of the four countries. Also, it’s noticeable that the figures for coffee production in all 4 nations followed an upward trend throughout most of the period shown.
In 2011, Brazil produced around 43 million units of coffee, double the figure of coffee output in Vietnam, at about 23 million units. Over the next year, the coffee yield of Brazil reached its peak of 51 trillion units and then decreased slightly by 2 million units in 2013. Meanwhile, the volume of coffee output in Vietnam fell to approximately 22 trillion units in 2012 before increasing significantly by around 5 million in 2013.
Turning to the others countries, initiating at 7 trillion units, the figures for coffee production in Indonesia showed a slight growth to 11 million and then stayed unchangeable in the following 2 years. In the meantime after remaining stable at 6 million units between 2011 and 2012, the amount of coffee produced in Columbia went up to 11 million at the end of the period.
