Choose 1 of the following questions.
1. IELTS-essay: the qualities that make someone admirable
2. Free-style: My idol / role model
3. Free-style: Someone I admire / An influential person
It is obvious that the obstacles are always put on our path. The challenges often make us down and even give up. However, there will be someone lightening our life, inspiring and guiding us to the right side. Our Listening and Speaking lecturer at my university played this essential role in my life, so he is my most admirable person.
First of all, his absolutely obvious thing making others admire is his extensive knowledge and experience. He used to study abroad in the United States and he has been teaching at my university for over fifteen years. In my opinion, his English speaking skill is the most noticeable strength. This is because I love his American English accent, which sounds really natural and native. He gave us a variety of methods to expand our speeches and make them much more convincing.
In addition, he is a dedicated lecturer. He said that his desire was motivating his students and directing their English abilities, even their grammar in speaking. Whenever, he gave us a comment on our speech. He helped us recognize our positive sides first and then how to improve our negative ones. As a result, after working with him for a semester, my English speaking skill became much more improved and I am more confident than I used to be. Beside helping us with our speaking abilities, he is always willing to do us a favor with any academic issue being under his control. Thanks to this feature, he helped me a lot in my study in spite of his busy schedule and stressful workload. For example, I usually ask him about new vocabulary items in reading texts, which are not described and explained understandably both in the dictionary and on the websites.
In a word, my Speaking and Listening lecturer is considered my life - saver due to his abundant help with my academic study. Additionally, he has been my inspiration to become a professional English teacher in my future.
