The charts below show how selected age groups bought concert, cinema and theatre tickets online over the first three months of 2013 in three countries and how the Internet was accessed.
The first chart indicates the percentage of two different demographics bought ticket to concert, cinema and theater online. Meanwhile, the second chart illustrates what devices did they use to bought ticket online in three nation over the the spring season of the year 2013.
Overall, Malaysian did not have the same pattern and bought as much ticket as the two others nation. It is seemed that most people from the three countries chose desktop computer to purchase while mobile phone was the least favored.
Regarding the two demographics, Australia and UK had the same pattern while Malaysia was reversed. Around 54% of the buyer from 25-44 years old bought ticket online in Australia and UK. In the second group who above 65 years old, approximately 44% bought an online ticket in Australia and 40% in UK, equally to the Malaysian. The pattern was reversed in Malaysia because there was a slight 5% lower percentage in the 25-44 group which is around 38%.
Most ticket were bought from desktop computer with the proportion above 60% in all three countries. By contrast, there was under a quarter of audience used mobile phone to place a seat at theater alike places. It was noticeable that only 30% of the tickets were bought from laptop in the UK which is quite lower than in Australia and Malaysia where are around 45%.
