Task 1: The diagrams show changes in a student common room.
The picture illustrates how a student common room has changed in five years.
It is clear that more furniture is put in the current student room and less space is available.
As can be seen from the picture, five years ago, there is a sink, a cupboard situated on the left side of the room. Next to the kitchen furniture mentioned above were two benches, a microwave and a refrigerator. Four round tables are placed in the middle of the room accompanied by five chairs each.
After some renovation work, a new microwave is added to replace the bench. Meanwhile, two round tables are removed and replaced by a long rectangular table with eight chairs and a bench for laptops. The room is also upgraded with a television located in the back corner of the room, in front of three armchairs. Moreover, a drink machine is provided for students in the new room.
