The chart below shows the percentage of people accessing news via different media in one country in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
People accessing news in four various media from 2013 to 2017 is displayed by the bar chart, shown in percentage.
Overall, most of media experienced a downward trend, but the exception was the Internet. However, television was the most accessible to find news.
Initially, there was almost four-fifths of people watching news program on TV compared to those reading newspapers at around a half of the former. Meanwhile, the radio listeners’ rates were as similar as people using the Internet to access news, with a slight over a half.
Eventually, TV witnessed a moderate decline in the level of its viewers, but it remained more than three-fifths, followed by the printed media, with below a quarter. Furthermore, the figure for radio slightly decreased to less than a third. This contrasted to that for the Internet users, it increased dramatically to nearly the same proportion of TV viewers in 2017, albeit the lowest in the initial year
