The diagram provides information about the number of social media (Instagram) followers of five world’s influencers in 2018 and 2021. From an overall perspective, it is evident that all of the social media celebrities showed a significant change in the number of their Instagram followers with Cristiano Ronaldo making up the highest figure in 2021.
In 2018, the number of followers of these Instagram influencers was between 90 to 120 million. Selena Gomer recorded the biggest in the year with approximately 125 million people following her on this social media, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Ariana Grande just below 15 million that of Selena Gomes Instagram follower’s number. In addition, both Kaylie Jenner and The Rock accumulated slightly under 100 million followers in the year.
The figure for Cristiano Ronaldo Instagram’s followers then experienced a drastic change in 2021 with the figure increasing three times higher than that of the initial year. In contrast, although the number of Instagram followers of other social media celebrities had shown a significant rise, on average the number of people following them on Instagram is roughly 250 million of people.
