The graphs show the levels of men and women spent time for education and the proportion of people in the five different levels of education from 2000 to 2010 in Singapore.
In general, it was clear that the figure for time male students was higher than female students and the percentage of people studied master and university qualification saw an ascending trend whilst the opposite was the case for others.
The average of years the men spent for study at school increased steadily over the period of ten years, from about 9 years to under 12 years. Meanwhile, the female adults just spent 8 years for education in the year 2000, afterward, the average years fluctuate minimally and reach the highest point of under 9 years studied at school in the year 2010.
Between 2000 and 2010, there was a sharp increase in the proportion of people had master qualification, from 7,5% to 30.31%. Similarly, that in university qualification also grew swiftly from 8.3% to 32.93%. In contrast, there was a remarkable fall in the percentage of students who has high school, secondary and primary school qualification from 26.3%, 23.77%, 7.5% to 19.55%, 15.2%, 2.1%, respectively.
