The charts below show the results of a survey about what people of different age groups say makes them most happy.
The pie charts illustrate the outcome of a survey on a topic of what contributes to the happiness of people divided into two different groups under and over 30. Overall, achievement at work appears in both charts as the highest proportion. It is noticeable that while people over 30 take being with family and financial security as a source of happiness, those under 30 replace these two with traveling and having a good appearance.
Looking at the similarities, both the young and the old share the same pattern of the highest percentage which is an achievement at work with 31% and 32%, respectively. Both figures are followed by doing hobbies with 22% for people under 30 and 24% for those over 30. Other factors made up a minority percentage in both age groups with 14% for the young and 10% for the old.
In terms of differences, while people under 30 report that having a good appearance and traveling are the two factors contributing to their happiness with 18% and 15% in turn, those over 30 replace these two with financial security and being with family. Financial security accounts for a fifth. Being with family occupies 14%.
