The diagrams illustrate the favourite fast food of individuals and the number of Indian luxury eateries in Canada during the period of 55 years from 1960 to 2015.
Overall, while the percentage of Chinese fast food stood at the top of the takeaway rate, this figure for Mexican, Japanese and Greek fast food was the lowest. By contrast, the number of Indian restaurants in 2009 was the highest; however, in 1960, there were the fewest eating houses in Canada.
There was 34% in the proportion of Chinese fast food and the most consumed in Canada. Besides, this figure for Mexican, Japanese and Greek was similar to that of the average rate at 1%. 11% was the percentage of people who never ordered this kind of food.
In Canada, the number of Indian restaurants was the lowest in 1960 standing at under 2000, before rising significantly to 8000 in 2000. After 9 years, this number peaked at 8500 eateries.
