The Diagram Below Shows the Manufacturing Process for Making Sugar From Sugar Cane
The diagram provides us with the knowledge about the 7 steps involved in the manufacturing of sugar.
The process starts with growing sugarcane which took almost 12-18 months for their growth. After that, harvesting of the yield takes place using traditional methods or new machines and modern technology.
As soon as this is done, the sugarcane is crushed to gain juice from them which is used for further processing. Purifying juice using a limestone filter to improve its quality is the next step in the process. Once purifying is done, converting the juice into syrup takes place which involves heating the juice in an evaporator. Henceforth, the syrup is passed through a centrifuge to segregate the sugar particles from the syrup. Last but not the least, the main step of getting sugar takes place once we obtain the sugar crystals and their drying and cooling takes place.
All in all, sugar is obtained from sugarcane in 7 steps where sugarcane is first converted into juice and then finally into solid form.
