The table provides information about the median age of men and women when they retired in australia, united states, japan, italy, france, and korea in 2003.
Looking at the dataset in more detail, it is clear that the mean retirement age in australia, united states, japan and korea is over 60 years. Korea has the highest age of retirement, is 68 years 8 months for men and 67 years 2 months for women. In japan, the avarage age of retirement is 67 years 4 month and 66 years 9 months for male and female, is the second top age in the table. United states, and australia had retired at the age of 65 years 6 months and 64 years 1 month for male, 64 years 2 months and 63 years 5 months for female respectively.
Turning to the remaining information it is evident that, in italy and france, the age when people retire is below 60 years. France had the lowes age of retirement, is 57 years 4 months for men and 56 years 9 months for women.
Overall, it can be seen that the retirement age of korea is highest for both males and females in the table whereas france has the lowest age when people retire. Additionally, males average age of retirement in every six countries is higher than females.
