From 1985 onward, it started to rebound to 80 million tons, which then observed a consistent growth and finally reached a peak at around 90 million tons in the final year.
The remaining modes started the period lower with 40 million tons for the quantities of goods conveyed by water and rail and about 6 million tons for pipeline. After 5 years, the figre for the amount of products transported by water rose to 48 million tons and remained unchanged throughout the period of 10 years and ended with the record at 61 million tons.
