The graph illustrates the number of visitors of a particular Caribbean island over a 7-year-period from 2010 to 2017. The statistical data was measured in the unit of millions of visitors.
Overall, the general trend in figures was upward for visitors selecting either the option of staying on cruising ships or staying on island. Noticeably, there were more people choosing to have a stay on island than settlement on cruise ships.
Particularly, take a look at the first two years of the period, the total number of visitors started at roughly 1 million, consisting of 0.5 million tourists settling on island. In contrast, the number of tourists on cruise ships halved the one on island A year later, while the figures for cruise ships flattened off at the first year’s number of visitors, those for cruise ships doubled the number in the previous year, which led a total rise of 0.25 million in the figureheads for both included options of settlement.
Throughout years, the figureheads generally increased, with the exception of staying on island between 2013 and 2016, of which figures underwent a plateau at around 1.5 million people, then a drop by 0.25 million in the remaining year. At the end of the whole timescale, the total statistics reached the summit of the entire graph, at precisely 3.5 millions of visitors. Accordingly, the number of those on cruise ships stood at roundly 2 million, higher by 0.5 million than the counterpart on island in 2017.
