The pie charts illustrate the percentages of online shopping sales for four certain retail sectors in Canada in two years (2005 and 2010).
Overall, electronics & appliance had the highest expenditure among the sectors in 2005 but food & beverage overtook it in 2010 whereas the least amount of money were spent on video games in 2005 and on home furnishings by 2010.
In 2005, the percentage items bought online from electronics & appliance sector was 35, ten percent larger than that of home furnishings. Instead, online sales from video games and food & beverage were less profitable compared to the other two sectors, presenting figures of 18 and 22 percent respectively.
However, the situation quite changed in the following five years when food & beverage and video games climbed at the figures of 32% and 23% respectively while home furnishings and electronics & appliance saw a decline in expenditure on the Internet. In fact, electronics & appliance items decreased of 5 percent compared to the value by 2005 whereas the other sector dropped more, exactly of 10 percent.
