Choose accommodation in holiday
The provided bar chart shows the information about the proportion of four primary kinds of accommodation the British in four various regions decided to choose for their holiday in 2010.
It is clear that hotel was the most popular choice in holiday in all research regions of the UK of this year. Additionally, the rate of choosing self-catering of people in England, Scotland and Wales as their accommodation were quite similar.
In 2010, self-catering accounted for approximately 27% of all types of accommodation chosen by the British in England. Similarly, this figure for Scotland and Wales also stood at a quite impressive level of 30% and about 28% respectively. By the contrary, the rate of self-catering as choice of accommodation in Northern Ireland was much lower, at just over 10%. However, while Caravan was the favorite accommodation in holiday of the British in Northern Ireland with around 31%, these figures for the three other regions were just between 5% and 11%.
The highest proportion of chosen accommodation in holiday of the British in all four regions belonged to hotel, at about 55% for England, 51% for Scotland, 49% for Wales and 45% for Northern Ireland. In contrast, the people in Scotland only wanted stay in camping in holiday which made up only 4% - the lowest figure shown in the chart compared to around 14% chosen by people in Wales.
