asteroids are good for three reasons
The article states that asteroids are the best way of colonization and provides three reasons. However, the professor explains that sending people to an asteroid it is not a practical idea and have downsides.
First, the reading states that due to of low gravity landing spaceship in asteroids would be safe. The professor refutes this point by standing that low gravity represents a risk for people's health because would lead to decrease muscles density and as a result, produce health diseases.
Second, the article claims that asteroids have many precious metals that would have a profitable because the value of them. However, the professor contends that availability of these metals seems to be a profitable idea, but it is not the whole picture. He says that the cost of transport the metal is not easy. Also, the price of the elements does not guarantee the metals would be sold, increasing the supply in the market and reducing the metals that are sold.
Finally, the reading avers that asteroids are good for colonization because is very easy to reach. The lecture opposes this point by standing that even the asteroids are easy to reach, is very difficult to return from. He mentions that orbital pass is very unusual and even the asteroids are closer to the Earth travel back would be a challenge.
