The graph below shows the total birth and deaths in a European nation from 1950 to 2000.
The given polyline graph illustrates the information about birth and mortality rate in a European nation between 1950 and 2000 and also includes a future prediction of next 50 years.
Overall, it is clear that mortality rate remained constant ;however, birth rate fluctuates over the period. It can be seen that, according to estimates the birth Rate will be stable and mortality rate would incline gradually.
To begin with, during 1950, the number of new births stood at more than 70 lakhs;whereas, mortality rate was Slightly less than birth rate. After two decades, birth rate witnessed a dramatic incline and reached at about 10,00,000 births but constant trend can be seen in case of deaths. It is interesting to note that after 1970, birth rate declined significantly and remained at 6 lakh births in following 20 years.
Probing further, there was similar number of births and deaths till 2010 and figure accounted for 7 lakhs. The mortality rate is predicted to be same in next three decades. In contrast, after 2030 it would follow a gradual increase and may reached at 8,00,000 deaths in later two decades. Future forecasts shows that the number of births would remain stable till 2050.
