It can be seen that a major of 36-50 age group could be observed in 1990 while 51-65 year old adults represented the greatest proportion of people giving money to charity in 2010.
First of all, the figure was highest in 36-50 people at around 42% , nearly three times the number of people aged 18-25 (over 15%) in 1990. Around 35% of 51-65 year old people donated money to charity in the same year, followed by 26-35 and over 65 age groups with slightly over 30% in 1990.
In 2010, the rate of British people aged 51-65 reached a peak at nearly 40%. The figure of British people aged 36-50 and over 65 giving money to charity accounted for 35%, followed by the percentage of people aged 26-35 at around 25% . However, interestingly, there was just over 5% of people aged 18-25 donating money to charity in 2010.
