TPO 40

The lecturer and the reading discuss the presence of a permanent station on the surface. Although the passage claims that the Venus' surface has not a suitable situation for the human station, the speaker refutes this idea through several reasons which I will describe in this paper.

First and foremost, the passage points out that the surface pressure of the Venus is 90 times greater than the surface earth pressure so that all spacecraft crash with the Venus surface. The lecturer, in contrast, rejects this idea by claiming that people can establish station that flooding on the surface of the Venus. This station makes about 50km above the surface of the venus. In this situation, the pressure is as the same as the earth pressure.

Furthermore, unlike the passage which states that Venus surface dose does not have oxygen and water; hence, it makes a problem for spacecraft. The professor argues that the Venus surface has other components such as carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid. In the station, people can make oxygen from these components and also extract water from carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid.

Finally, although the reading passage says that cloud cover above the venus surface; therefore, the sunlight does not arrive on the surface and the station can not make electricity. Nevertheless, the professor argues this idea by pointing out that these clouds that located at a high level are not thick enough to block the sunlight. So, these will allow the sunlight to go throw. Also, clouds reflect the sunlight. Furthermore, people can use this reflection to produce electricity. Consequently, people can produce energy from these power stations.
