The Table below shows the results of a survey that asked 6800 Scottish adults (aged 16 years and over) whether they had taken part in different cultural activities in the past 12 months.
The given table illustrates Scottish adult's interest in different cultural activities in last year.
Firstly, participation in any performance based cultural activities like dancing,singing, playing, acting etc. are having largest interest by young people(16-24) which is account for 35%, whereas age group of 25-44 and 45-74 are also inclined into this activity with 22% and 17% respectively. Craft activity attracts more aged people like 45-74 age group with 22% and gets less as it comes to young people to 17% for 25-44 and then 11% for 16-24 group. above 24 age people has similar interest in cultural purchases activity like 17%(25-44) and 18%(45-74) . Visual art activity is second highest interested by young people with 30% but less in above 25-year-old group. Writing and computer based activities are done by young group only with 17% and 10% respectively but above 24 interest gets dramatically low to around 8%(25-44) and 5%(45-74).
In a nutshell, different age group has different involvement in activities. Mostly inclined to performance based and less towards computer based.
