Overall, It is witnessed that the highest number of people in US commuted for work purpose and the main concern of all the travelers regardless of their intentions was cost during the given period of time.
Analyzing each purpose behind travelling by public transport, it is observed that the highest percentage of people travel to and from work that was 49% . The percentage of people in US who opted to travel due to their personal reasons and shopping were 19% and 16% respectively. However, one-tenth percentage of people in US chose to hop on public transport for recreation and 6% prefer public transport for visiting relatives.
Moving towards the concerns regarding traveling through public transport , It is clearly seen majority of people faced the issue related to price (36%).Another main problems associated with people regard to traveling were safety concern,aggressive drivers and highway congestion. Their percentage were 19% ,17% and 14% respectively.Finally, below 10% of people had problems related to space congestion and accessibility.
